Je laisse ici Malcolm en exposer le principe: There are four piles of cards, three of wich designate performance materials/activities — one with graphic notation, one with rythm notation, one with a single word in French — and one with a performance time sequence. Each musician picks one card from each pile; these will be the sources of their own musical activity. /… / Musicians begin playing around the time indicated on their (time) card to create a more fluid flow of ensemble sounding (extrait de son lexique).
