Ensemble SuperMusique is a shapeshifting ensemble dedicated to performing “musique actuelle” and improvisation. It consists of musicians revolving around the record label Ambiances Magnétiques. Over the past 30 years, these musicians have acquired an extensive and significant understanding of experimental music. They are masters of this art form. Several renowned Montréal musicians have previously been in Ensemble SuperMusique: Mélanie Auclair, Nicolas Caloia, Pierre Cartier, Michel F. Côté, Guido del Fabbro, Jean Derome, Aimé Dontigny, Lori Freedman, Joane Hétu, Diane Labrosse, Jean-Denis Levasseur, Jean René, Danielle Palardy Roger, Sam Shalabi, Pierre Tanguay, Martin Tétreault, Marc Villemure, Rainer Wiens, and Tom Walsh.
