The release of Wondeur Brass’ single “Parano” provides an opportunity for a new series of shows in Montréal, Québec City, Rimouski, Matane and Rivière-du-Loup. Still mostly using brass instruments, the group has altered its line-up, scaling down from a ninetet to a seven-piece ensemble. The group has toned down the theatrical aspects of its performances and switched from fanfare to rock, jazz and the New Wave. Critics agree: Wondeur Brass’s music is unique, bold and rule-breaking. Actually, every side of Wondeur Brass breaks at least one rule: group management, creative process, personae and performances.
