Clarinetist, composer, and comic-strip artist, Robert Marcel Lepage has been making his own special contribution to Montreal’s musical scene for more than thirty years. He has improvised for AME, EMIM, Ambiances Magnétiques, and others; he has also worked with musicians such as René Lussier, Jean Derome, Martin Tétreault, and Michel F. Côté. He has composed the music for more than a hundred soundtracks for documentaries (Jacques Godbout, Léa Pool, Alain Belhumeur, Jean Beaudry, and Manon Barbeau), feature-length films (Fullblast by Rodrigue Jean), animated films (Pierre Hébert and Francine Desbiens), and television (the series Urgence, Réseaux, and Belphégor). He has composed for modern dance (Louise Bédard and Lucie Grégoire), released a dozen compact discs on the Ambiances Magnétiques label, and published a book of humorous illustrations entitled Le Robert Illustré de la Clarinette.
