Brigitte Lacasse is a musician, performer, director, actress, composer, producer, and cultural worker. Accomplice of Claude Fortin in his films Le Voleur de caméra, L’Autobiographe amateur, and 100% Bio, she gave her career a sharp turn toward music improvisation in 2003 (Tutu combo, Grand groupe régional d’improvisation libérée (GGRIL), Minus 3, Tour de Bras). In 2005, she started La Femme Saran’wrap, a solo creation project combining performance art, improvisation, interpretation, manifest, documentary, and fiction. The project led to two public events in the spring of 2007.
