Ciaran Frame is a young composer, media artist and educator currently based in Sydney. He is passionate about cross-disciplinary collaboration and education, working at the interstation of data, technology and music. His practice currently revolves around interactive and generative notation and performance systems, creating everything from sonification toolboxes to make music out of plants, to performance works where players must purchase their musical material. All the while, Ciaran is attempting to become a part of the rich history of contemporary classical music whilst also looking forward to what music might be like in fifty years time. More recently, 2017 has seen Ciaran undertake a composition residency in the Arctic Circle as part of the Ars Bioarctica artist program, present at the 20th International Generative Art Conference and complete Ensemble Offspring’s renowned Hatched Academy for emerging composers.
