About this series

Les Poules present their latest project: Phénix

Hétu, Labrosse, and Roger have been working and playing together since 1980. Their collaboration is legendary, their musical exploration always avant-garde. They mix up synthetic and acoustic sounds, the crackling and humming of samplers, the churning and chafing of percussion, vocalization, and the mouth play and hissing of saxophones. The effect of these mixtures and soundscapes is extraordinary: they weave a fabric of sound whose instrumental threads the listener will sometimes find difficult to distinguish.

Derome / Tanguay present their project Plinc! Plonc!.

Jean Derome and Pierre Tanguay — two masters of improvisations, two maniacs of music, two crackpots of invention — seem to be doing absolutely everything in this plink-plonk festival short of getting up and dancing to their own music. A significant and essential testimony about improvised music and the joy Jean Derome and Pierre Tanguay experience when playing together.
