About this seriesCanevas 2002 — Improvised Music Encounters Created around pianist Lee Pui Ming from Toronto, clarinettist Lori Freedman from Winnipeg, and percussionist Danielle Palardy Roger from Montreal, this concert series will highlight the participation of women in improvised music. The “carte blanche” that these three musicians will enjoy will make for four evenings of concerts during which Canevas 2002 will allow us to appreciate their talents as well as those of a number of other Montreal musicians, including sound artist Chantal Dumas, double-bassist Normand Guilbeault, saxophonist and vocalist Joane Hétu, and saxophonist Marie-Chantal Leclair.
