About this projectY’a du bruit dans ma cabane This performance is strongly representative of life, urban living, and daily actions. The work consists in a set of musical vignettes. Joane Hétu, Jean Derome, Danielle P Roger, and Martin Tétreault have composed, together with video artist David Emmanuel Fafard and lighting designer Alexandre Péloquin, a playful audio stage set that cleverly illustrates the states, feelings, and actions of modern life.Y’a du bruit dans ma cabane is performed by seven musicians. It becomes a tangible space, a house in which the musicians are keeping busy, moving from room to room, doing all kinds of things. The eyes and ears of audience members walk around from lounge to dining room, study to bedrooms, with a stop by the garage. The pictures and music are self-explanatory; words thus become accessory and reduced to noise. Y’a du bruit dans ma cabane is a surprising and surprisingly accessible-concert that marvelously illustrates the obvious avant-garde nature of Québécois art. |
