About this event

These three duets illustrate the symbiotic and egalitarian ties between music and dance. They show how these intertwined languages articulate the intersecting points of a shared form. They are simultaneously interaction and mutual influence, sound and gesture, all created following the same live pulse.

“D’ailes et de cendres” by Francine Gagné is an incursion in a universe inspired by Frederico Garcia Lorca.

“Mardi 16 juin” by Catherine Tardif is inspired by old photographs, portraits found in an old drawer.

“Le mobile immobile” by Andrew Harwood is about movement and the absence of movement, about switching between noise and silence, about tension and release, about emptiness and overfullness.
