About this event

In May 1990, the jazz/alternative punk rock/improvisation-blending powerhouse Wondeur Brass became Justine. Since brass instruments had lost most of the role they played ten years ago, the group begins its second decade with a new name more suited to its persona.

Justine has inherited the more structured language of Wondeur Brass (now deceased) and the improvisational flair of the side project Les Poules. Thus, Justine moves between the two poles, playing music made of power struggles, both constructed and deconstructed, structured and improvised, where silence neighbours noise and tenderness holds hands with violence.
